Default Tire question 285/35/20

Anyone running 285/35/20 on the rear of a xf or xfr? I was looking for tires and I found a deal of 285/35/20s ..I believe they were only a half inch taller ,which would actually close the fender gap,but I just don't know if they will look dumb with the bigger sidewall..Thanks

They will fit perfectly OK on the rear of an XFR or any XF with the correct width rear wheels (9.5" or 10.0" I believe) and as you say they will also help to reduce the yuge fender gap. They will also improve the ride a tad and reduce the built in speedo over-read and bring it closer to accurate.
I say go for it!

I was kinda just looking for someone who may be running the same size to see if they look awkward and if they noticed a difference in ride quality..

So you had 285/35/20 and went back to 285/30/20 which is stock ? I'm a little confused 285/35 is a taller tire so it seems less likely to bend a rim with a taller tire?

Anyways I went ahead and bought them ..couldn't pass it up they were normally $449 each tire ,got the pair for $224 shipped and everything came in 1 day also .Only issue is they don't make that model of tire in a 255/35/20 only a 255/40/20 ..So still deciding what to do for the front .
