Default top up oil after oil change

Hey guys my car is xf 2009 diesel 3000
so.... i decide to change the oil to my friend who understand these cars and know everything about them. The oil change cost me less but i have a question.
He put around 6,5 litres in the engine and now i was checking the oil level (electric stick) and it said: OIL level OK but wasn`t full enough.
Should i put some extra oil to fill the bar or not?

The oil is same used in authorized service castrol c1

I do but anywhere in the "level OK" area is fine. Only add about 1/3 qt. at a time then check to top it off, you don't want to over fill.

No leave it alone. The graphic on the bar is not accurate. If it says level ok do not add any more. Over filing is dangerous especially on the 3.0d
