A couple months ago my trunk light came on when the trunk was closed, then stopped and after about a week came back on and never went back off. I disconnected light in trunk as that was on constantly and now I have to lock doors with key as alarm will just beep twice when trying to set. Any solution to this or do I need to take it in? which I wouldnt mind but nearest jag shop is 50minutes away and they want me to drop off and come back next day.

There is a switch in the latch assy...you may try some spray electronic cleaner in that area...(Auto stores has it)..Then open and close trunk lid a few times and spray some more...If this don't work you may need a new latch switch//That is also how the car knows the trunk lid is closed so you can set the alarm.
