Default Tuning Customizing your XF

Hello Folks, I am new to the forum. I just purchased a 2010 5.0 Premium XF. It has not yet arrived but so I am day dreaming meanwhile. I currently own a mint 98 XJ8 that I have since new. Update was way past due.

I love to customize my jags a bit always in good taste but enough to make it my own look. I have seen some nice stuff for the XF, rear spoiler,
Roof Spoiler, front bumper rubber air dam. Some Carbon fiber...

Any of you have pics of soft mods to your cars?

The spoilers always look lame to me. Ive added the chrome power vents and chrome Selena wheels.. That's about as "pimped" as I get..
Added performance exhaust and upper supercharger pulley so it runs and sounds as good or better than it looks.

Any chance you can post some pics. I would like to see how the side vents look chromed. My car has the Sentas stock and I thing they are just awsome.

I want to more on the pulley and exhaust. Please upload a youtube sound clip.Does the pulley give it a more whine of a sound? How much more grunt to you actually feel?

The pulley doesn't change the sound at all but it gives a little more kick in the seat. The performance exhaust gives it a great growl that changes to a howell when you open it up. I'll try to get some updated pics this weekend.

Mods to date: 20" Volan wheels, blue LED footwell lamps, bespoke carpet mats, chrome rear number plate mount, chrome shark fin aerial cover and chrome rear light surrounds.

Mods planned: Chrome mirror covers, chrome door shut covers, stainless steel lower grille meshes and re-map.

All a bit chrome orientated I suppose

Nice Randy, I like the chromed gill look. I have been wondering how it would look with a carbon fiber film. I would need to remove it though so I am not sure how that would go.

Randy: That loks very good. I have those wheels but just a few spokes are chrome and the rest are silver. Your color combo and chrome on the car is just right. Which Pulley and Exhaust did you get? You cant hear any more whine over stock even at full throttle and high rpms?

Mina Gallery sells an axle back exhaust system for the XF. They are in the Valley but they do business online. I think some folks here on the forum are pretty happy with their products. I am looking at various exhaust options myself and Mina is cheaper than all of the high end Euro products but more expensive than a custom Borla/Flowmaster setup. I am undecided of what is the best option for me.

Hi guys:
I have a quick question.
I currently own a 2011 XF, and I need to remove the original mirror covers in order to installa chrome one. Do you have any idea on how to remove the covers?
Thank you
