been searching and can't seem to find anywhere some instructions on how to remove that lower splash guard(s)

I got really bad rattling coming from the bottom and wanted to remove them to see under thee

anyone got some diagrams or insructions for this?

you can probably find a better link than this but this video at least shows the pieces and the fittings, its pretty straightforward and not as scary as you are anticipating ....just undo them ! IIRC you just need Phillips head screwdriver and (maybe 10mm ???)socket but you don't need much.
(I remove the main one when doing an oil change)

I had seen a fee diagrams but they didn't really show the positions of the screws/bolts and this clearly shows where they are..

also is it OK to just leave those skid plates off and drive the car? I'm guessing maybe but since the factory made them maybe it's best to place them back on
