Coolant recently spilled out of my tank due to loose cap, since then I have been concerned about the operating temperature of 204F. Wondering if this is normal

Depends:

2.7l TD: "The thermostat opens at a nominal temperature of 82 °C (180 °F). This opening is delayed at lower ambient temperatures to improve heater performance."

3.0l V6: "The thermostat begins to open at 88 - 92 °C (190 - 198 °F) and is fully open at 102 °C (216 °F)."

4.2l v8: "On vehicles without supercharger, the thermostat begins to open at 88 - 92 °C (190 - 198 °F) and is fully open at 102 °C (216 °F). On vehicles with supercharger, the thermostat begins to open at 84 °C (183 °F) and is fully open at 98 °C (208 °F)"

Mine sees 200 just sitting idle. Babying it around I’ve seen 210. What temp should I be concerned?

Do you have a V6 or 8? Mine is a V6 Supercharged, cooling fan kicks in at 206F back to 204F on idle

I have a 2010 XFR. I’m used to seeing my coolant temp under 190 on my 2000 Trans Am.
