My 08 xf 2.7 TD cranks over for 7/8 times before starting from cold ,then its fine , start first time except when I leave it again for a few hrs does the same again , I have fitted a new fuel filter but still same .
Advice please ,,

 

Have you tried replacing the glow plugs?

 

Problem solved , the young guy who works for the dealer put ultimate petrol in the car so been sorted now . Surprised it started at all it was about 1/3 petrol to the tank of diesel .
