XF 2009 - both key fobs not working
Hi,
I've replaced the batteries and no joy. I can only lock/unlock manually via the passenger door which obviously is a pain. I need to put one of the fobs in the slot under the dash to start the car.
Questions:
Thanks in advance for any help.

Questions:
- How do I diagnose if this is a fob or car problem?
- If fob, do I need to get a replacement? Can I buy from Jaguar or on the open market?
- Is there a method to pair fob and car?
- If car, can I fix it or does it have to go to Jaguar?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Mike
FOBs go bad. Can you program new ones?
If not you will need a dealer. It will be expensive. Be SURE and get 2 keys/FOBs. We have had so many people buy used Jags and only get 1 key thinking it's no big deal to add a another one.
Or they try to get by with only 1 FOB/key. Just not a good idea especially if this car is your daily driver. You can live without the goofy Valet key so ignore that one.
I use aftermarket fobs/keys from china but I have an SDD to program them to the car.
I have never seen a problem with the car, it's always the fobs and keys but again if you have an SDD I would run a scan to see if it picks up anything
about KVM or security errors.
