Hi l have an 2012 XF jaguar when first start up in the morning i get a bussing noise it last for a minute, l took it to my jag dealer and they said it was air-condition pump it is leaking got a quote $4,300 au dollars.
i'm not convinced that it is air-condition pump why would the pump come on when l got air con off, it should not come on. has any body had this problem 😡😡

 

Can you record a short clip and post?
Maybe someone will offer some advice if they can hear it too.

 

Can you DIY the repair?
If not you will be at the mercy of all the repair places.
Replacing the AC compressor as you found out will be expensive otherwise.
