My engine was replaced previously. After that I have started to have some issues with fuel tank noise. This is still under diagnosis as I sent the video to my dealership and they don't know what it is.

Anyways I am not sure if that is related to my car not giving full power.

Usually when I push the pedal deep you hear the engine open up. Currently my car feels as if it is being maxed. It feels as if the gear is to high for the acceleration to be fast enough. The RPMs move up slow no matter how much further I push the pedal as if the engine is being starved.

This low power phase happens randomly and comes and goes. While driving the pedal feel starts to vibrate and is not smooth while giving load. The car also vibrates as well and is not smooth. When this happens then I know the car is in its low power phase. I have done a launch from near stand still in 2nd gear and it was just really slow.

I took it to my crappy dealership and the mechanic drove my car and claims there is nothing wrong. He says the car is driving fine. I know I am not getting some power because when my car starts driving smooth again and I open her up you get a burst of speed (as if an intake opens up or the variable cam timing changes shape).

What should I do and would you have any idea what it could be?

 

For one thing try to keep all these posts in one thread, since they are more or less related..this will help with train of thought..next get a new dealer..period!

 

I'd find another dealer.
