Just picked up a 15 plate XF sportbrake and when sat in traffic in neutral there is a really annoying clicking noise when you release the brake from the gear selector dial in the centre console, any suggestions or shall i take it back to manufacturers.

 

That is the safety lock on the gear selector. In park, it "clicks" open when brake is applied to allow you to go from park to a gear.


I never noticed if it also does it when in neutral.

Interesting handle there kangarilla!
The only Kangarilla I know of is a sleepy little hamlet a few miles south east of Adelaide South Australia, which is where I hail from.

 

Its derived from a mythical beast from a land far far away created in my imagination, it lives on an isolated island with the crocapigalow, as i'l sure you can imagine which creatures they're mixed up from.

Didn't realise is was associated with vineyards and wineries, seems rather strange seeing the web sites, we just made them up years ago while slightly inebriated.
