Default Xf disconnect battery

Hi, I need to disconnect the battery from the car to dry out all the water I’ve established the water is leaking in from the boot slam vents. Have been getting the battery not charging warning so I need to dry out all the electrics. My question is I’ve read the procedure for removing the battery i.e. leave it for a good half an hour, key fob away from the vehicle so and so forth.
Is it okay to leave both the batteries disconnected for up to a week before reconnecting to enable me to get in there with a cloth disconnect all the damp connectors blow with compressed air, cetera et cetera et cetera? Before reconnecting.
also do i remove main battery first and then the smaller one, and is re connect small first then main one?
thank you
