XFR vs CTS-V the official race
Jalopnik's Wes Siler is going to race GM's former vice-chairman Bob Lutz in XFR.
They were going with a C63 at first, but Benz backed out. It will be fun to watch the result.

Unfortunately stock for stock I know the Jag is outpowered and I think it's also going to be out-handled. The 1/4 mile times are both in the mid 12's. The braking is almost identical. They both run the same width tires, the Caddy with a bit more sidewall. Wheelbase and track are within an inch of each other. The power to weight ration goes to the CTS with 7.7lb/hp to the Jags 8.6lb/hp. The Jag takes the weight distribution with a 52/48 split.
Really one of the most important numbers here will be lateral g's the CTS pulls a 0.94 and the XFR a 0.87.. It's just sticks to the road, I test drove one and I've never felt in more control. That combined with the $20k price difference is enough to make me choose the CTS for the race and for a daily driver. I must say though, the interior in the Jag is farrr nicer and the Jag has a lot more trunk space.
