XK to be Discontinued in 2015
I was in my dealer yesterday and was told that the XK is being discontinued in 2015.
If it turns out not to be true, don't shoot the messenger. But with the F-Type coupe and slow XK sales, it doesn't surprise me.

Yes it's true, lot's of threads here on the forum about it...

It would be nice if if we're a bit larger. At 6'4" of mostly legs, I don't fit in either the XK coupe or the F-Type convertible. If not, I'm hoping I really like the next XF.
I'd wager the replacement will be a 2-door XJ

The F-Type has the "sportscar" aspect covered, so a 2-door XJ would be up there with the Bentley Continental as a true Grand Tourer...
This render looks pretty good...

And then there would have to be a drop-top version too, of course!

With the new architecture they can do both types of car.
The XJ is likely going to be redesigned to fit the new architecture as will the XF.
This means Jaguar can build in essence a long wheelbase F Type to replace the XK and two or three versions of the XJ.
The new XF is to be a bit bigger than ours and lighter but more space efficient.
Jaguar needs to build all their cars off one basic platform and this can be easily done now.
I note that Ford is also investing big time in aluminum bodies: the replacement for the current F 150 is to be aluminum, saving 700 lbs (yup, 700 lbs, that will make the Raptor fiercely quick)
