Default 2011 Xj Alarm going off at random times

Okay guys so I had the alarm issue with my xj , got it fixed at the dealer “ so I thought “ they did let me know they had Trouble with it . They went through three hood latches before it “worked “ I picked up the car . Two days later I get the random alarm ... but no “hood open “ warning like usual when driving , but if I opened the hood on my own it worked as it should ... so I just tied the wires together to close the circuit, I have a ton of experience with electric but this is one car that’s baffling me .... so any other things that could cause this !!!??? I just don’t know what to do .... the dealer sometimes has the car 3 weeks at a time , I can’t keep going there I have to try to fix this at home ... if I can disable the alarm that would be perfect

I am having the same exact thing happening now. I had the hood latch replaced and the "bonnet ope" stopped and the alarm stopped for 1 1/2 days and now it is going off again.
Did you ever get it fixed or fix it yourself??? PLEASE HELP ME.

On my 2011 XF's, I just bypassed the trunk latch sensor. Very easy to do by connecting the sensor wires together. Never had an issue for years without that sensor. And I don't want to be that guy that brags like he is has superpowers of observation, but I can actually tell when my hood is open without a light on the dash to tell me. LOL!

you are not picking up what iam trying to tell you , ive had 4-5 x351 to date , my first had this and i got it diagnosed and sorted after a few sleepless and people stopping talking to me days , it also can manifestit itself to ither the drivcers door latch also being kaput , both are connected to the immobiliser , get it on sdd , its not the door microswitch that is a problem on its own , i came on hear to help you now help yourself or go and moan somewere else

This is the first time I have gone on their forum and I do thank you very much for taking the time to try and help me. I to think it is the latch. We had it replaced but after reading in here someone said they had it replaced 3 times before it stopped and then 2 days later it started ringing the alarm again. Sounds like the latches are picky sort of. Thanks again

I would follow what George05 suggested?
I think the Jaguar SDD system is needed as the locks and latches are complicated and interconnected. So just swapping parts you think are bad is unlikely to fix things.
While people have reported replacing things multiple times we don't know if they had any reason to replace stuff? Without codes we are just unable to see what's going on.

Any chance you get the car scanned and see what's in there?
