Default 2011 xjl coolant system question

I have a 2011 XJL and I'm trying to find out if I have a hose missing off my coolant system. The coolant reservoir tank has the overflow hose coming off of it going to two connections and one is connected near the throttle body then runs down beside it and I have a connection not hook to anything. Can anyone tell me what it's suppose to be connected to. Adding picture. Thank you

It's non-functional! Prove it to yourself? The end is filled with plastic and nothing can come out. Take a piece of wire and see if it will go in the nipple.
It's a left over from when Jaguar slightly changed some the cooling hoses in that area.

Looks strange for sure! But common to see.

Your very welcome and I was just glad to know what the heck that thing was. First time I saw it on a car I spent a while trying to decide if it was a problem or not! Sure did not look right to me.
Finally found a post or two on the forum discussing it.

Thanks again I appreciate it. I seen on a video a guy was changing out the overflow line and it was connected to the top then showed that part and it had a hose connected to it and I was like what's not connected.

Yes there are different versions of cooling hoses and apparently the earlier cars did use it? I think it caused problems and Jaguar then modified how the hoses were run.
I don't believe the early stuff is even available anymore either? If you order them Jaguar will ship the updated stuff instead.
