Default 2012 3.0L super charge 2nd hand engine

I am trying to source a 2nd hand engine to replace an overheated engine.
Car has done 70k in kms and is in perfect nick otherwise.

Have been quoted $20k NZ to replace with new crate engine.
Too expensive and whilst I get the reasoning, I don’t think it is worth it from a economics perspective.

Does anyone know where I can source a rebuilt or reasonable cost 3.0L super engine?

Judging by this bit - "Have been quoted $20k NZ to replace with new crate engine." - I would say the Shaky Isles AKA Land Of The Long White Cloud.

I’m located in Auckland in NZ. However, have family in Cookham, that can assist if I source the right engine to freight to me.

Billyb123, looking on e-bay, they have a bunch of engines that would probably fit your need for around $8K USD. You may need to spend say another $1000 or so to have it freighted to you. But, even if you get it to you for around $10K, that is still a lot cheaper than you have been quoted so far. Granted, may want t odo some looking, maybe a wrecker near you can source an engine for you.
