2012 XJL Portfolio- Parking Aid -Need Direction
The front bumper was reinstalled along with new parking sensor brackets and new fender liner after car jumped the curb (not my doing). Parking assist no longer working for front or for the rear camera after jumping curb. Collision company did not have the codes to fix the parking assist problem. Parking assist button lights up on overhead console when pushed. Screen reads "parking assist not available -contact dealer".
I will likely take the XJL to the dealer since they appear to be the only game in town who can fix park assist. Before hitting curb, all sensors were working along with rear camera so module is likely okay as well. I suspect it is just a wiring issue where wires were pulled when front bumper was pulled out after hitting curb. Any thoughts if the dealer should be able to reconnect wires or am I likely looking at a new harness?
Appreciate any thoughts and direction! Thanks.
