Default 2015 XJ is Simply Gorgeous...

New 2015 XJ purchase. We owned a 2001 S-Type for 14 years and gave it to our Grandson with 55K miles on it.
This new XJ is just awesome. Black exterior with a "Cashew" interior. 3.0 Supercharged. Very quick, quiet as "Expected of a Jaguar".
This is really a large sedan! Much larger than expected, and much stronger than expected.
The Jaguar Forum helped me during our tenure with the S Type: vacuum leak repair: coil fail: etc. Wonderful resource that the Jaguar Dealership Service Department did not duplicate.
I look forward to getting "Intelligent, Practical Experienced" answers to questions about this automobile.
Thank you, in advance..

The great thing about automobile Forums, of course, is that your tapping into the experience and knowledge of many hundreds of owners using dozens of dealerships, rather than perhaps one mechanic at one dealership.

Enjoy your new beauty!

If an American says the XJ is a large car, it must be really big !! Actually, I had a test drive two years ago and found it OK on our narrow roads here in the UK, but I'd be a bit nervous reversing it to park-up. Of course I have the previous XJ and that is the largest car I have owned in my life so far.

This car is strange as it relates to size. I'm really happy I didn't opt for the XJL. I wouldn't want this car to me a millimeter bigger than it is. My XJ is bigger than it feels. I've bumped a few things in it, something I never did in my BMW 3 series I came out of. Takes some getting used to. Without the parking assist, I would have totalled this car by now. Even navigating through a fast-food aisle is difficult.

Getting used to it's size. My first luxury sedan ever.

Driving this automobile does take some getting used to. I own the XJL and if it wasn't for the parking assist, I too would be in trouble. I have to change my M. O. while driving and parking this automobile when compared to driving/parking my other vehicles, including the big GMC truck.
