Forward facing camera in my 2017 Jaguar XJL.

I purchased my first Jaguar two weeks ago, a 2017 XJL. Beautiful car, runs great and is everything I’ve ever wanted.

It has a forward facing camera with sign recognition capability. However, I cannot use any other features with this camera. It does not activate during parking, and i cannot connect to it as a dash camera.

I found the Jaguar Dashcam app in the Apple store, when I try to connect to the camera i get a notification banner on my iPhone that says I need a firmware update. I have looked everywhere for information of this and have been unsuccessful.

Do I need to take this in to the dealer to solve? Has anyone on this forum had experience with this or able to provide any advice on how to use the forward camera as a dash camera?
