My 20k mile service light just came on recently. I had the oil changed about 2k miles ago and thought maybe he forgot to reset it. I reset it myself with the scan tool. Checking the book, it looks like this is just an oil and inspection service milestone. Correct?

We get quite a few complaints about Dealers on the forum - some justified, others not.

In this case I'd have been straight back asking what else may have been overlooked. The Service Manager's assurances certainly would not suffice. Nothing less than documented proof would be acceptable.

I am not blaming the dealer for anything. I did not bring it in for a 20k mile service just the oil change since I had thought it had gone long enough. They did not suggest and I did not ask about the 20k service. I should have but it didn't click that I was close. But just wondering now if I can just skip that whole service since they oil change I think is the only thing they do other than inspect other stuff.
