Default adding a flexible reading light to the rear

I am wanting to add a flexible reading lamp to the rear of the car and I know there is the rear fusebox tucked away behind the rear armrest and rear seat back but can anyone tell me if there is an easier connection point or if not which fuse I may be able to add into, my car is a 2015 ( pre facelift ) XJL, many thanks in advance.

Maybe you can just tap into the wires for the existing reading light? You could remove the bulb from that one so the button works the flexible light. Or, use both bulbs at the same time since the fuse and wiring should easily handle both lights.

ah, had not thought about that, thanks, I will look into it, the rear lights at the moment are not really bright enough to properly read by, ok for incidental use but not for , say ,reading print in a paper of documents etc.

roviw, if you need wiring help, let me know. I am sure I can tell you what wires you want to tap into to give you the functionality you are wanting.
