Default Battery Tender

Jaguar XJ 2012 is there any way to have the Tender connected via cigarette lighter or any other power point inside the cars interior?

Not sure on the XJ, you are in the XK sub forum and our cars disable to the cigar lighter when the car is powered down.

I've moved your question from XK/XKR to X351 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

I have both, and the answer is "No" for both. The cigarette lighter is switched, which means that that circuit is closed and has power only when the ignition is on. When the ignition is off, that circuit is open and electricity can't flow to an accessory.

Here's how I hooked up my CTEK battery maintainer to my XJ. Caution: never attach the negative lead of the maintainer to the negative battery terminal; always attach it to a chassis ground.

Agree with the above remarks, I have been using a ctek battery conditioner for nearly 7 years on my cars, connected as mentioned to the battery live and a ground point near the battery
