Default Changing Standard wheels to XJR wheels

Hi everyone!

Im new to this forum having just purchased a 2013 XJ.
Question I want to ask is the car currently rides on 19inch wheels and Im thinking of changing them for the 20inch XJL wheels would I retain the same rolling radius so speedo isnt affected and would the TPMS need pairing up/ resetting?

Thanks

TPMS should reprogram automatically. Although you could just move them across from the 19inch wheels and save buying new ones

If you choose the right tire sidewall height you can match it up so rolling radius stays the same

Do you live in a snow zone? Or rough winter weather? If so I'd keep the 19inch wheels with winter tires for the cold. The extra sidewall provides a lot more protection from potholes and road damage... 20inch can be bent and damaged pretty easily

I live in northwest England and the weather isn't too bad don't get any snow to be honest but i will probably keep hold of the old wheels anyway.
The new wheels already original tpms fitted so i guess they will be picked up automatically then.
Thanks for your help

I just did this on my 14XJL. I went from the 19" Tobas to the 20" Mataivas. They are exactly the same radius (20" but lower profile) so you will have no speedo issues. TPMS will auto-reprogram as long as you get the correct 315Mhz sensors. In 2016, Jaguar changed to the 433Mhz sensors, so either make sure your new ones are pre 2016 or plan on swapping over your existing ones. I had mine swapped the local Meineke charged me $100 to do it.
