Default destroyed the engine

hey guys, it's me with that 13 XJ SC, so, i took out the oil pan today and i found this.

to me they look like piston ring and part of the piston, so if i go on engine rebuild i think the best is to buy the whole block with pistons only, and re-use the heads and everything else on top.

if some of you know where i can find just the short block or how should i name it let me know please.

VIN is 'SAJWA3HTXDMV*****'

im stil searching on google right now to see what i can find.

Generated and seen far too many engine hazards (i used to drive high reving racing go-karts) i am confident to say that, if you found part of piston ring in the oilsump, it´s journey down there have been very, very interesting, and most propably it have had a quick meeting with the cylinder head as well.
Very sorry, i feel the pain.

I think a complete used engine would be a FAR cheaper repair.

it's cheaper to get the whole car salvage from copart and swap the engine.

But what do you think?

what's the compatibility on these engines. so mine is the updated flywheel one (i think, i put picture anyway)

SO, the question is can i put any superhcaged block from 2011 to 2019 or i have to get the exact 2013 model year block?

can i take it from range rovers? or from f-types? or xk? or xf etc? is any difference inside the block between all these?

so im talking about the short block with pistons and crank only, the heads and everything else i reuse from my car.

i tried to call dealers and talk with technicians but nobody knew, so i literally cannot find any information about this

You can expand your search but I would shoot for 2013 plus 8 speed if possible. Flywheel will be different on earlier cars and Cam VVT Phasers I believe are different. But your can swap those out from your engine. But now doing timing items and increasing variables. Some engines other than XJ had thinner timing chains. XJ has the more robust ones.
