Does the 600W Premium Jaguar audio system have a center dash speaker?
Today I checked to find out that my 2012 XJ Premium Luxury does not have a centre dash speaker under the plastic grille.
Yet looking at the diagrams. it is shown (circled in red by me) and meant to be identical to the rear door speakers.
I removed the grille and found a cable. Quickly plugged in the front midrange speaker (since I had door card off) but no sound was produced.
Question is: Does the 600W Premium sound system have the centre dash speaker?
I checked the Amplifier in the boot which is the AW93-19C164-AP (High 12), so I understand this should correspond to the 600W system, which was standard in the Premium Luxury trim?
Or am missing something obvious here?
The spatial distribution of sound was always underwhelming, but I thought there was no dash speaker by design in this mid range 600w system. Or were there different set ups even before the switch to Meridian?
