Can someone please let me know if there is a difference between the European and American taillights? I have a 2015 XJ 5L, which is in need of a new twilight. i found a replacement on eBay. But it's from a French, 2012 model. Will it fit and work in my car?

 

It will, if the part numbers are the same.

 

It won't affect the OP's 2015 model, but technically they are only the same up to VINs ending V90866. After that the US markets have a different lamp cluster from the ROW.
