2017 Jaguar XJL (Supercharged) | 19,500 miles

I'm noticing that the black trim around the driver's side mirror, as well as the black plastic piece connecting the mirror to the door and black plastic piece next to the drivers side window is starting to fade / show oxidation . Looking for some suggestions to bring back that black shine / mirror-like finish. Also, the Jag is still covered under the factory warranty, so I'm wondering if Jaguar would replace it? I'm not seeing it on any other black plastic trim (passenger side mirror / pillars / ect.)

I have the same and they would not replace it under factory warranty. I polished it with black wax with good results. Let us know your results.

Sure will. Jaguar dealer is going to look at it on Thursday.

What brand / kind of black wax did you use? I'm thinking of trying Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer?

 

Nope....Turtle black wax. The black restorer is for polyethylene plastics like the air diffusers and under-body shields of the XJ.
