Default Faster response for touchscreen

This helps with my 2012 xjl which came with the updated touchscreen. May work as well for the old version in 2011s. Turn off screen animations. Turn off the button sound and turn off the volume control spin wheel. All in screen setttings. Give it a try. Let me hear your feedback. Also if you have a very early build 2012 you get the free upgrade install for touchscreen if it wasn't already installed at the factory. 2011s arent eligible for the upgrade. Not a software upgrade. It's the whole unit. Screen looks different and the buttons are bigger.

Interestingly, when I looked at a fairly late 2012 XJ at the dealer (high 30K production number) it still had the 2011 touchscreen and buttons. My XJL, which is a much earlier 2012 already has the new screen/buttons. The dealer could not explain the discrepancy.

How can I tell if I have the updated touchscreen?

The new screen has the following physical push-buttons right under the screen:

Menu, Phone, Nav
