Default Front brake questions.

Hey so I went down to my local part store today after they told me they have my pads I needed. Now I just got them home and when I opened the box the pads looked different than what I had seen on an online tutorial. The pads I have got a single metal clasp to hold them into place. The video I seen has 2. Does a supercharged model have a different brake setup.

thanks for your help, very much appreciated.

Isaac.

The supercharged models have 380 mm front and 376 mm rear brakes while the others have 355 mm front and 326 mm rears.
Those are the disc/rotor diameters but everything else (calipers, caliper brackets, pads and splash shields) is different as well and not interchangeable although the rear calipers and pads look very similar.
The 380 mm front brakes are twin piston with two metal springs/clips on each pad backing plate while the 355 mm front brakes are single piston with only one clip on each pad.
Both rear brake sizes are single piston and neither have clips on the pads.
Also the rotor size is printed on the edge of the caliper bracket, and the 380 mm front pads are 193 mm long and much much longer than the 355 mm pads (whose length I forget) and the pad length may or may not be printed on the box.
It sounds like you have a non SC (naturally aspirated) with the 355 mm front brakes.
