Fuel Pump Issue
Good day all. I have a new to me 2011 Jaguar XJL Supercharged that has a fuel pump problem. The code that came up was "fuel pump circuit open". I checked fuses, then dug into the fuel pump connector and found the ground with light burn marks. I tested the pump with a power probe, it seems to work! Then ohmed the ground out and got 800ohms? I am a licensed electrician but am new to car electrical issues. Is this enough to be a problem and make the pump not work properly? I have checked all the grounding connections I can find and they all seem good. I have the wiring diagram and grounding schematic. I would like to eliminate any other issues before I go ahead and start swapping parts. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. I had to give up for the day due to rain. Unfortunately the car died in the driveway which is 1/4 mile away form the garage. I will let you know what the code and pressure is when it clears up!!
Embarrasingly I found this issue. When I pulled the power probe off the ground, the terminal post connector came off with it, it was barely making a connection! Not only that but the battery was very weak. I replaced the battery, reconnected everything and the issue was fixed. At least now I am familiar with taking the rear seat out, wiring diagrams, grounding posts etc!!!! Now on to the next set of issues. .
