Hi all. I am an New XJL owner. Nice to be a part of this forum.

My question is regarding voice command.

When you hit voice button on the steering wheel, you get a bunch of choices, Nav, phone, satellite, ect. However, NONE of the choices are Ipod, yet there is a USB choice.

Is there a way to either customize the voice command to include ipod as a choice or add it as a "non listed" voice command?

Hello, sorry I can't help you out on this but our XJ Owners .

 

One thing I just found out, is if I say "USB" while my ipod is plugged in, it will play the ipod.

"USB" must be a universal command for playing music either plugged in or via BT.

Quirky, but it did work.

 

I would think that the "USB" voice command would play whatever is plugged into the USB port.

 

Ipod/USB are interchangable ports.

FYI. I plug in a USB cable to my USB port connected to my Droid and it fried the system. No explanation since the Droid works as a USB music hub. Just thought I'd share. It worked when I got it back from service, then broke again... it JUST started working this afternoon.
