Would I need a tune if I just installed the intake tube, and exhaust package from Mina?
I know I would if I added their pulley swap, but didn't know if I could get by on stock tune with just the intake and exhaust only.
Also, any recommendations on a tuner in the Houston area that is reliable with Jaguar?
Thanks,
Matt

Matt ***, the answer is yes and no. I know this sounds confusing, but I will explain.
The engine computer is always learning what the air flows, timing, pretty much any parameter of the engine are. It then adapts what it does based on what it is seeing. So, as the engine wears and whatnot, the computer is adapting to the new conditions. So, when you add the new intake and exhaust, the computer is going to see a change and correct its accordingly. So, is a tune required. NO!!!!!
BUT!!!!!!!! (you knew it was coming). The engine computer can only adapt but so much and so fast. If you happen to reach the limit of what the engine computer can do, then you start loosing out on the maximums. In the case of the exhaust, the exhaust may be actually capable of netting you say 20 hp, but if the computer is limiting you, then you may only see a 10 hp change (with the other 10 hp being "lost" because of the computer). In this case, a tune would be needed to get the full effect.
So, must you get a tune. No. But, you may find that you will get more out of the improvements you are making if you do get the tune.
As for a tuner in the Houston area, cannot help you with that.
