Default My Car Is At The Dealership For Fuel Issues

Hello guys, It has been a few months driving my XJL SC with this hesitation problem at full load and high rpm. I finally got a chance to go to the dealer to explain what has been going on. There have been no check engine lights and only sometimes would I get the "Restricted Performance" Indication on the dash which would then go away.

The dealership first started off by replacing the fuel pressure regulator but the problem still persisted. I get a phone call from my service advisor and he told me that they had to replace both of the fuel pumps as well. I will be getting my car back this Monday. Hopefully I will get to experience my car at full tilt once again. I'm just glad Jaguar has been good taking care of me!

I will keep everyone updated as soon as I get my car back.

Thanks for your time guys.

Got my car back and it is as good as new. So happy to finally enjoy my car to the fullest and the best thing is that Jaguar warranted all the work. Class Act!

Both fuel pumps failed pressure tests so they were both replaced. Problem is gone and the car is healthier than ever! DTC P0087 was low fuel pressure in the fuel rail. Both pumps replaced and code was cleared.

Having my car back at its full potential has made fall in love with this car all over again. Jaguar as a company, excels in customer service and quality. Knowing the fact that these parts had to come directly from England made me think about how special the XJ really is. The dealership that took care of me was great and were very open to listening to what I have been experiencing in the car for the past few months.

Too bad bad it's been pouring rain over here in Northern Cali for the past few weeks. I am in need of new tires and am looking to go 255/35 295/30 on my Kasugas. I wonder what it will look like with the 20mm spacers I have on the car currently.

Long live the JAG!

The other day I was at my dealer talking to the lead tech and heard an impact tool going crazy. I asked what was so wrong with the XJ that was being worked on and he said the rear wheel bearing had failed. He said that they have seen some premature rear wheel bearing failures due to non standard wheels and/or spacers that cause an improper off-set. FYI

Thanks for the heads up XJsss. Wheel spacers off, 255/295 tires on!
