Default Need Help with Interior Light

Hi everyone, does anyone know how to setup the interior lights to come on when you open the driver's door? it used to work fine, but for some reasons it doesn't any more. I'd appreciate any help with this.

Car is a 2012 XJL Supercharged.

Thanks

Default interior lights

Hi, copied and pasted this from the handbook, I had to do mine when I collected the car from the garage once and it had been switched to manual by mistake.

The lamps are operated by proximity
sensors. Move your finger close to (or
touch) the appropriate lens to switch on/
off. Touch the lens for 2 seconds to switch
automatic illumination on/off ( Manual mode
or Auto mode is displayed in the message centre
accordingly)

Thanks Roviw for the tip, I went to try it and found out that the lights don't work at all. I'm not sure if the bulbs are gone or the fuse?

Probably a fuse. There are 3 separate bulbs just in the front overheat light alone. Highly unlikely that all 3 burned out at the same time.

Do you guys know where the fuses are located. I know that there are 3 fuse boxes but I don't know which one is for the lights.

My guess would be behind the rear armrest. You can pull out the leather in the back after dropping the armrest. On earlier cars you have to actually slice some insulation with a craft knife to expose the box. I was amazed when I had the technician show me this when I blew a fuse for the accessory socket a couple of years ago. I don't know if the newer cars have a modification for this yet.

The handbook may tell you which fuse box is the one. When I read mine it actually said the seat back needed removing and I was in France at the time and waited till my return to find there was a way in !
