Next Jaguar XJ Imagined
I see lots of F-Type details in this.

From the article:
This purely fantastical Jaguar XJ, or C-XJ as designer Theophilus Chin calls it, definitely qualifies as one such thing. Theo has used an obscure concept by Guiogiaro to pen this beauty, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that this is what the XJ should look like and not the rubbish currently presented to us.

Sorry-
The grill is too Maserati like, and filled with ugly hardware to support a license plate.
Side view tail lamps look like a Dodge.
Roof-line is too low for anyone but midgets.
Wheels are ridiculously large with rubber-band thick tires which would transmit every crack or tar strip into the passenger compartment, and neither of which could survive common potholes in today's streets.
Chrome door handles?
The Lincoln like rear end doesn't even begin to measure-up to the current XJ, and the chrome surrounds on the exhaust pipes look aftermarket.
The lift-over height of the trunk is ridiculous and would invite damage from luggage or golf clubs.
Theophilus Chin is an example why neither the Greeks or Orientals are known for automobile styling.
I remain in love with my classy XJL and reject this amateurish attempt to improve upon it.

I prefer this artist's concept, evolutionary and still identifiable as a Jaguar. Looks like it's a hatchback, since the trunk lid appears to be too small to create a sufficiently large opening. Similar to the Panamera, but Porsche didn't get the proportions right - it's still butt-ugly. This concept flows much better.

Mr. Chin's C-XJ concept in Post #1 doesn't work for me as an XJ since the front end looks too "boy racer". I think that design would work better as an XE to appeal to the younger buyer who dreams of owning an F-Type and settles for getting the grille.

However, I suspect all that front and rear greenhouse glass would virtually cook the inhabitants belongings unless the engine and air conditioning were left running from dawn to dusk in the Summer anywhere, except perhaps in Seattle, WA.
And, the trunk space would probably rival that of a Corvette C7 convertible; totally unacceptable for a luxury 4-door sedan. Ladies of means require much room for shoes and clothing on any trip, plus additional space for all the items they like to buy and bring home.
However, I do suspect the headlight styling would appeal to the Chinese buyers who Jaguar is courting so strongly.

That look would probably work better on a smaller sedan. But for a full size flagship? No way!

Today I took the XJL for a short ride and filled it up w/ gas. After paying and while walking back to this automobile, I stopped and observed the profile of this automobile and said to myself, this is one fine vehicle.
My understanding was that the next XJ would likely return to a more traditional 3-box shape, for the Chinese market. Sadly, for me at least, that probably spells the end of the X351's beautiful organic roofline.
I think that the concepts presented above all have some significant issues, chiefly the attempt to smash an XJ into the back of an F-Type in the first one, and the horrific reimagining of the Nissan 370Z rump in the second!
