Default P0117-16

I have a 5.0l supercharged xjl with 122k miles on it and recently performed a large amount of mantanice on the engine. I replaced the timing chains/guides, completely rebuilt supercharger, rebuilt injectors, new spark plugs, coolent hoses and water pump, many new seals and gaskets and walnut blasted the intake vales. The engine runs absolutely perfect. Here is the problem...

When I initially started the engine for the first time after I put everything back together and filled the systems up I got a p0117-16 dtc permanent. This was never present on the car before the work was done. The engine would only crank but won't start. To start the engine you have to erase the p0117-16 code the. It fires right up. I have bleed the coolent system a few times and driven the car and it doesn't have any overheating issues. I replaced the coolent temp sensor 1 (back of the engine) twice and still no fix. Does anyone know what mV the sensor runs at? i.e. high resistance = cold. Low resistance = hot for the computer. It could be a short to ground issue but I don't know where to look for that part of the harness. I know of the two on the front of the engine and one big ground strap on the starter bolt. Any help 🙏 😢 please

The same engines are in the Range Rovers. Maybe this same solution will work for you:

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I went back into the rear of the motor and realized the pigtail on the cts was green and grey wire color. It was supposed to be green/brown and yellow. I mixed them up. I checked the wires on both cts with a multi meter and also the pin out to the ecu. Everything checks out. Wasn't the worst thing because I removed the transmission and noticed the rear main seal was leaking. I'm gonna have to re do that too. Oh well. But thanks again 🙂🙂🙂
