Default Power and pleasure of the open road

For the first time, I had the opportunity to drive my XJ SC on the highway for about 160 miles from Chicago to Peoria, IL. It was pure pleasure out on the open road. Driving the XJ SC turned an otherwise non-descript journey into heaven. The ride was firm, but luxurious. It was fun to open up at higher speeds (within reason), pass with authority and enjoy a nice massage in the cockpit-like cabin.

Navigation was intuitive and informative (although I can't figure out how to get the ETA to show in 12 hour format rather than 24 hour format).

I had a few phone calls to make and my phonebook was completely accessible through voice commands. Enjoyed music from my iPod, Stored CDs, Sat, along with talk radio.

What fun!

It really is a phenomenal car now that everything is fixed and the frustration is over. Hopefully the cars coming to the dealers now have had everything done at the factory so the owners can fully enjoy them from jumpstart.

Small world, just did the same roundtrip from the Western Burbs to Peoria and back. Just before the snow hit. I couldn't agree more. Probably the best ride I ever had. And this time.....knock on wood....no roof noises or anything like that.
All my electronics worked great (always had, never had a single problem with those), Bluetooth and Phonebook are excellent (much better then in my Mercedes) and Navi worked perfect. And the Sound System....well ...I never had better.
