I was taking a look at what can be done about the speakers/sound system in my 2011 XJ with the base audio, which is the only thing I really dislike about the car.

My question is, can I swap out just the front door speakers with a same set from the 2013-2016MY? Or even do a swap of the standard speakers with the B&W just for the front doors?

The only reason I'm interested in doing front door speakers only is they're the only ones that are giving me trouble/rattling and have since day 1 of my ownership, and I've even had the dealer replace a speaker or two and it's still quite bad.

 

Subscribing. I'm sick of the front door speakers rattling as well, so am trying to find a solution. Have you looked into aftermarket speakers as an upgrade? I'm not sure what's available in 2ohm, nor the dimensions.
