The radiator fan on the xj is not kicking on? I got an overheating warning and immediately shut it down. I noticed my a/c was only getting cold for a little while, then would drop off. I had the a/c checked a little while ago and came back fine.
About 2 months ago I had the dealer replace the interior a/c panel because the buttons were sticky. There was a bulletin on this. Could this cause the fan to not turn on? The car is no longer under warranty, so it is on my dime now. The fan will not turn on even if the a/c is on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Fixed. Ended up needing a new fan assembly. At the same time we noticed the plastic coolant pipe at the back of the heads was leaking coolant down on the back of the transmission . The XJ has 88,000 miles on it and most of the plastic coolant lines have been replaced.
