So I have acquired an 2016 XJL Portfolio that needs a little bit of TLC. One of the things missing is this part that keeps the seatbelt buckle at a reasonable height to grab. seatbelt plastic rivet
This has to be a 25c part, perhaps 50c. The bodyshop tell me that Jaguar will not sell this part on its own and to replace this, I need to replace the seatbelt, the seatbelt mechanism, 3 airbags, and then have it all turned on at the dealer at the bargain cost of roughly $1,000/$1,200. Nuts... I get it's part of a safety system, but some kid with nothing better to do has popped it off and eaten it... There is nothing wrong with the belt or anything else (except perhaps the offending kid).
Now to my question: does anyone know where I can find one of these widgets? Or does anyone have one kicking about?
I bought a pair of these for my XFR years ago, on Fleabay, cost a whopping $1.00 IIRC.
Not Jag specific but generic, no biggie.
Search Fleabay and ye shall find.
