Thumbs up Agreed Previous Generation Looks & Functions Better - But

I agree the looks of the original interface are better. My 2009 XF Supercharged has the original system & I'm frailer with the F-Type (ordered one last week) and current XJ (service loaner) systems. The one area the modern unit abolishes the old. Navigation (including interface options) and bluetooth. On 2009-early 2012 Jaguar models the bluetooth, oddly, can't stream music. For mid-2012 forward Jaguar updated all models to the current unit. Another perk of the new navigation/interface, soon owners can add apps like Pandora, Apple Airplay, etc. That would be amazing. SiriusXM is nice but not customizable like personal streaming apps.

So, despite the looks and function (speed) on the prior generation interface, the current is much better in all regards. To fix the speed a better processor is now in place and depending on the build date some may already be on dealer lots. I haven't been able to confirm this rumor but I trust my source. Plus it's an easy fix and would not impact the bottom line as supplier cost & manufacture/installation expense would be the same.

What's the bulletin called, it's covered under warranty, or even out of?

I don't quite understand this comment: My iPhone streams music perfectly to my 2010 X351 over bluetooth - in fact I sometimes have trouble shutting it up. It doesn't have a real interface, as I'm not sure that Jaguar anticipated wireless connection back then, but when the iPhone is paired as a phone, it also pairs for music playing. I can't browse music on the phone from the Jag interface, but it plays, and skip forward/ backward/ volume is controlled perfectly.
