Sound quality on bluetooth
I had a prior post about apple car play, and it looks like that's not a good option. With my current setup, I've got the top of the line stereo with Bluetooth. I have excellent connectivity between the car and my phone, but when I make calls the other person can't hear me very well. They complain that the sound is all cut up as if there's a bad connection. From my end, I hear them perfectly. We've swapped phones and the issue remains, with solid signals or even wifi.
Obviously it sounds like the microphone connection is the issue, but I really have no clue. Is this a common problem with 2011 XJL's? Any suggested solutions other than visit the local Jag dealer?

My 2012 has the base stereo system. I have no difficulty playing Bluetooth music from my $69 Android phone, nor any telephone difficulties. In fact, unless I'm at highway speeds, the person on the other end does not recognize I'm in a moving car.
For this type of problem, I think I'd try an auto electronics shop rather than the JLR dealer.
