Water in spare wheel well Xj 2010
Hi, hope someone can help! Had heavy rain for a few days and went out in car there was an awful smell coming from boot. I lifted load floor and there is water filling the indents in spare wheel well!. I have replaced one of tail lights a few months ago and sometimes have to push seal back on rear window. All carpet is dry! I’m hoping I don’t have to strip all carpet out to trace the leak,
thanks in advance!

It's usually the tail lights but if the carpet is not wet then maybe it's coming from somewhere else?
I just follow the wet trail back to the leak. Check the trunk rubber seal between the back glass and the trunk lid.
People have replaced the seal sometimes too.

Thanks I was going to remove seal and refit with some clear silicone to stop it coming off so I guess start at the top and try to trace leak I see the xf has issues with a rear vent in boot does Xj have this?
