What's your best MPG?
I got 44mpg in mine just after I got it while being "sensible", however over here we have the option to buy a 3.0 twin turbo diesel, very economical, 0 to 60 in 6 seconds and limited to 155mph, mind you, one guy on you tube got his up to 167 !!!
One month after buying a used 2011 Lunar Grey XJ Supercharged my wife and I set out from Toronto for Orlando, Florida. On the 2000km. drive over two days we averaged 8.5l/km. - 27.7 US mpg. ,
Aye, the best I did was 6.4l/100, which equates to 37mpg ( US ) or 45.5 MPG ( UK ).
This was on a 100km drive ( 60 miles ? 70 miles ? ) which a two preganant women in the car and it drove me nuts driving like that.
On a realistic side, with few sprints here and there, I get 8-8,5l/100 ( 29 US, 33 UK ) and that includes around 50% of the tank in the city, with loads of stop and start.
Great performance, great economy. Would be better a XJR ? Noise wise much so, economy wise not touching that with a yard pole.
