My 2014 XJL occasionally goes through a flickering screen systemic failure notification scroll upon first start up. After the first few seconds it settles down and runs flawlessly until the next time I restart the vehicle. It's sometimes only one instance, but randomly it'll continue for about 8 to 10 seconds of continuous faults, accompanied by a light clicking sound from somewhere in the car interior. It will show brake failure, ABS failure, satellite failure, Lamps go on and off, ETC. Has this happened to anyone here, and, if so, what was the solution?. I'm wondering if there's a relay somewhere that controls the ECO engine shut off/restart that might be going faulty. Ideas?. Thank you gentlemen and ladies. Bearly
With ANY strange electrical problems you always start with a new battery BEFORE replacing any parts!
It is so critical to have a top notch battery in the car at all times. Many also recommend a CTEK battery maintainer which is good insurance especially if the car is NOT driven regularly.
Report back with the age of the battery and what voltage the car is reading?

I had that same issue happen several times back in 2017. It would happen randomly while I was driving. The dash would start flickering and all types of warning lights would appear on the dash, and they’d go away as if nothing ever happened. I mistakenly started the vehicle a few times while it was connected to a battery maintainer. That’s when I noticed that the issue started occurring.
I replaced the auxiliary battery converter control module. I purchased a used one off of eBay for about $30 $40 or so. It’s an easy replacement; takes about 10 minutes. It is located on the right rear quarter panel. Pull back the carpet on the right side of the trunk and you’ll see the module. See picture below. Additionally, I purchased a new secondary (start/stop) battery. After making those two replacements, I never had the issue again.
You could potentially try just replacing the auxiliary battery converter module first. If that’s not the fix, worse case scenario, you’re out of $30 and 10 minutes. I did both though. I hope this helps.
I'm assuming the auxiliary battery is the original, as it reads Land Rover on the case. It DOES read low voltage in testing, however, I'm led to believe this battery is only used during ECO mode, and since I always turn that option off immediately upon starting the vehicle, I'm unsure if that would be a causative issue. I can't find this battery in America, however, I've seen it listed on a British website for sale, and am considering purchasing one from there.
Would this module be inclusive to the clicking sound I hear inside the vehicle?. Maybe the module is operational to a relay located inside the interior, so that's possibly the answer. Hmmm.
Yes...it happened to me. The system runs a self test a while after start and you get the relay clicking. Remove the ground connection from your aux battery to disable the system right after start automatically.

Yes thank you!!!!!! I removed the negative from the body ground, taped it off securely, and the issue magically disappeared!. I can't believe it was SO simple, and that I put up with it for so long.

Glad it worked for you too! The start/stop system is a terrible feature!
