1998 XJ8-L headlights flash with turn signal in 'auto' setting

1998 XJ8-L headlights flash with turn signal in 'auto' setting
My 1998 jaguar xj8, when in 'auto' headlamp setting, my headlights flash along with turn signal. doesn't happen in normal setting only Auto setting

Steve you missed the correct section for your question. You want the X308 section. Use the search feature there. If it is a common problem your question will be answered already.
No "auto" headlights on the X300 or X305 (XJ6/XJ12)! We actually have to pay attention to when headlights might be needed, and then flip a switch with our fingers. This also includes remembering to turn them off when parked. It takes a lot of mental and manual labor, but we have learned to deal with it. We believe it makes us stronger as a community. Such luxuries as "auto" headlights we can only imagine!
