The cutaway 6.0 engine at the Jaguar Collection in Gaydon UK which they currently have stuffed under the stairs on the left when you go in, making it a bit hard to photograph.
The racing engine has 4 valves per cylinder and the production car version has 2 to be able to fit in the space of the engine compartment from what I understand not having a V - 12
There is a good Youtube video from the factory on the technical aspects of the Jaguar V - 12 be it the early versions
I said to the docent volunteers at Gaydon earlier in the week when I took those photos it was typical Jag to squeeze the huge engine in under the stairs where you can't get at it, just like the XJ12 engine bay, but they didn't get the joke...

So thats what it looks like... No not the inside, the outside, all shiny and without layers of dirt on it!
Look at the curvature of those fuel rail crossover hoses... purrfect.
This one must be a NA spec for the XJ81 or XJS V12. Crossover pipe, air injection.
Thanks for that rear view Oliver, I had a good look at that air injection Y-hose. I had to remove the upper connections to get to the engine speed sensor today (I don't think this pictured V12 has that sensor). It was actually pretty easy to remove and replace the sensor. But it was extremely dirty down there.
