Question fuel

Hi all, more about my fuel issue, this morning the car started & i drove 2-3 km with a rough engine before stopping. I think the problem may be the air or lack of air. There is fuel & ignition so the minus is O2. Any ideas,
Harry

It's most likely getting air, unless something catastrophic happened to the valvetrain, like losing the timing chain. This doesn't match your description of it running rough and then dying.

You will need to actually confirm it's getting spark and fuel, and will likely find one of those is missing or not up to par. They make spark testers you can plug into a wire ($10USD), or you can check for a visible arc from a disconnected wire with a screwdriver in it resting a few mm above a valve cover.

Most likely it is not getting fuel. You will need to check fuel pressure at the rail. If it's low (below 44psi), then you have a problem. Injectors will not spray enough fuel, and spray pattern will be poor, causing rough running.

Likely culprits would be a clogged fuel filter (easy to replace, in front of left rear wheel), or a failing fuel pump.
