Default Gearbox filter replacement

Thought I would change the gear box oil filter tonight, wrong ! Exhaust has to come off to get bolts out and I think my rear mount is shot as Gbox is resting on exhaust. No wonder it was banging on rough roads.

More room with exhaust removed

Any one straight piped this silencer?

The operating theatre.

G'day Stu,

Once you get the pipes out of the way the job is easy right! The underside of your car looks pretty good considering where it lives.

Your rear tranny mount looks the same as mine does, and I've renewed it recently, so maybe your exhaust pipe can be repositioned a little so it doesn't interfere with the tranny.

Cheers,
Jeff.

P.S. When you reconnect the pipes it is easy to dislodge the the hanger over the top of the drive shafts and not notice.

When the sump dropped it came with a bit of a jolt and it might have bumped a cylinder with two wires connected via an orange plug but I checked they where connected ok before reassembly. Any suggestions on a code reader?

A glimmer of hope, after leaving the car overnight with battery off the light has gone out. Perhaps it just had a hissy fit after the initial start up with new filter taking a few seconds to draw oil into the system and leaving the battery off has reset the light ? Now to tackle my mangled exhausts after having to beat them up removing from the car.
